Naftha-tol-Masdoor Nesavi is among the books that, on account of their historical-literary-cultural dimensions, have attracted the attention of commentators and enthusiasts and caused the creation of works in this field. Owing to the employment of various words from different languages, including Persian, Arabic, Turkish, etc., and the slyly integration and finally the creation of figures of word and speech from them, the lexical discussion in this work is of interest. Despite the valuable research and explanations on this book, unfortunately some words have not been decided on yet, and their correct forms and appropriate meanings have been neglected. One of such words is "Bashmak". Using the inductive method based on analysis and through multiple revising, the present research seeks to provide an appropriate meaning for this word. Taking into account the different features of this book and considering the relationships between the sentences, the word "Bashmak" is supposed to mean "one-year-old calf".
