The poem "Moheb and Mahboub" is a romantic poem describing the affections of a Moheb in the love of the Mahboub, which was written by a poet named "Ekhtiyar" in the 9th century. The purpose of this article is to analyze the narrative structure of this story based on the structure of this story, which corresponds to the Propp’s morphological model (1870 1895). The authors try to answer these questions with a descriptive-analytical method based on the text of the story: how much does the story of Moheb and Mahboub match with Propp's morphological model in terms of types of function, personality and movement? to show the effectiveness of this model in the structure of this poem in the parts of functions, characters and movement. The research shows that the structure of Moheb and Mehboob's story consists of twenty actions, one movement, and five characters. The generous and helpful character plays a prominent role in this story, and the lack of evil and anti-hero characters, as well as the lack of functions related to these two characters, is one of the characteristics of this story. Although, in some cases, the sequence of actions intended by the prop is not followed and the actions of the heroes are limited and the same; But most of the functions and characters can be seen in the story, and in general, the structure of this story corresponds to the Propp’s morphological model.
