Sa'di’s mastery as a supreme craftsman of Persian eloquence, along with his command of linguistic subtleties and narrative skill, has led him to pay special attention to the poetic ending in the ghazal. This study, using a descriptive-analytical approach, examines the endings of Sa'di’s ghazals from the perspectives of rhetoric, linguistic devices, thematic content, and audience engagement. Sa'di makes use of literary techniques such as various types of paronomasia and repetition, dialogue and debate, contrast and symmetry to express concepts such as loyalty and constancy in love, self-praise, and self-defense against reproachers. From a linguistic standpoint, features such as syntactic deviation, the artistic use of the connective "waw" (and), omission, and certain characteristics associated with the Khorasani style distinguish the ending from conventional norms and play an effective role in enhancing musicality and intensifying meaning. Most of the hallmark features of Sa'di’s ghazal can also be observed in the final verses; however, manifestations of self-praise and debate appear more prominently in the ending than in the rest of the poem. According to the findings, the ending constitutes the structural and semantic climax of Sa'di’s ghazal a point at which, with a focus on the takhallus and an emotional or wisdom-laden synthesis, the poet presents the core layers of the ghazal’s discourse in a concise and impactful form, thereby reinforcing overall coherence and delivering the final poetic effect.
